Past future perfect tense adalah tense yang digunakan untuk membicarakan aktivitas yang akan telah dilakukan di masa lalu. Bentuk ini biasa digunakan pada main clause dari conditional sentence type 3.
Rumus:
Positive (Verbal): S + would/should + have + V3 + complement
Positive (Nominal): S + would/should + have + been + Adj/noun/adverb
Negative (Verbal): S + would/should + not + have + V3 + complement
Negative (Nominal): S + would/should + not + have + been + Adj/noun/adverb
Interrogative (Verbal): Would/should + S + have + V3 + complement?
Interrogative (Nominal): Would/should + S + have + been + Adj/noun/adverb?

Notes:
- Complement –> pelengkap kalimat seperti keterangan atau dapat berupa kata lain.
- Have digunakan untuk semua jenis subjek baik singular maupun plural.
Contoh:
- She would have slept.
- If I had slept earlier, I wouldn’t have gotten up late
- Would Aria have helped me if I asked her?
Penggunaan Past Future Perfect Tense
Menunjukkan bahwa suatu kejadian diperkirakan akan telah selesai pada suatu waktu di masa lampau.
- I had a feeling that she would have come home by the time I arrived (saya mempunyai firasat bahwa dia akan sudah di rumah ketika saya sampai).
- She thought Adian would have bought some food by the time she gone to the supermarket (Dia berpikir bahwa Adian akan sudah membeli beberapa makanan ketika dia pergi ke supermarket).
Digunakan pada conditional sentence type 3
- If I had remembered to invite them, the party would have been more fun. (jika saya telah ingat untuk mengundang mereka, maka pestanya akan sudah jadi lebih seru).
- If I had had enough money, I would have bought a new house last year (Jika saya telah memiliki cukup uang, maka saya akan sudah membeli rumah baru tahun lalu).
