Future perfect continuous tense adalah tense yang digunakan untuk mengungkapkan bahwa suatu aksi akan sudah berlangsung selama sekian lama pada titik waktu tertentu di masa depan.

Rumus:

Positive (Verbal): S + will + have + been + Ving + Complement
Positive (Nominal): S + will + have + been + being + Adj/noun/adverb
Negative (Verbal): S + will + not + have + been + Ving + Complement
Negative (Nominal): S + will + not + have + been + being + Adj/noun/adverb
Interrogative (Verbal): Will + S + have + been + Ving + Complement
Interrogative (Nominal): Will + S + have + been + being + Adj/noun/adverb

Contoh:

  • Will she have been studying?
  • I will have been being sleepy.
  • We won’t have been buying anything.

Notes:

  • For + duration (a month, a year, a week) dapat digunakan untuk menyatakan durasi aksi yang panjang, sedangkan by the end of … (next month, next week, next year), when + clause (you come), before + clause/noun (the sun rises, midnight) digunakan untuk membicarakan aksi di masa depan yang terjadi ketika aksi future perfect continuous tense telah terjadi beberapa lama.
  • Stative verb tidak dapat digunakan pada tense ini.

Penggunaan Perfect Continuous Tense

Untuk membicarakan tentang aksi yang panjang sebelum titik waktu tertentu di masa depan.

  • Aria will have been waiting for a year by the end of next month (Aria akan telah menunggu selama satu tahun pada akhir bulan depan).
  • By 2022 I will have been doing online learning for two years (pada tahun 2022, saya akan telah melakukan pembelajaran daring selama dua tahun).
  • When he finish this examination, he will have been learning English for eleven months (Setelah dia menyelesaikan ulangan ini, dia akan telah belajar bahasa Inggris selama 11 bulan).
  • Will you have been finishing the task before the teacher comes? (Apakah kamu akan telah selesai mengerjakan tugas sebelum guru datang?)
